Tampa Bay is home to remarkable birds of prey, and Tampa Bay Raptor Rescue helps bring their stories to life. As part of Moccasin Lake Raptor Sanctuary, we connect people with eagles, owls, hawks, and other raptors through educational experiences, community events, and the stories of birds in our care. Every encounter is a chance to inspire curiosity, support conservation, and help our community protect the wildlife that shares our skies.

WHAT WE DO
Our volunteers provide community education and day-to-day care and enrichment for the birds who live at Moccasin Lake Raptor Sanctuary.

We collaborate with several community organizations to:

Provide permanent care for over thirteen species of raptors at Moccasin Lake Nature Park in Clearwater, FL.

Offer sanctuary to over 30 birds of prey, including bald eagles and peregrine falcons

Manage urban osprey nesting platforms throughout Pinellas County

Rescue, rehabilitate and release wild birds of prey
